ABOUT US

Penrith Netball Club was formed over 10 years ago following the amalgamation of two rival clubs in Penrith; Penrith Police and Penrith Ladies. The club has expanded so much that with effect from September 2010, we will be renting the sports hall on Mondays from 6pm - 9.30pm to run three separate training sessions. This will enable us to cater for a wider variety of age groups and abilities. Please see our info page for more details of session times.

Practices comprise of a warm up followed by general ball skills and match practice. If you/your child would like to come along to a practice session then please email us at post@penrithnetball.co.uk to let us know your name and age. We will respond as soon as possible to confirm that we have space available in the relevent session.

We are also keen to encourage talented juniors capable of playing with the adults to stay after the junior sessions to watch and, where possible, join in with the adult sessions in order to develop the Penrith players of the future.

We now have enough senior players to enter a first and second team (Panthers and Pumas) in the Carlisle league on Tuesday evenings and hope to enter a third in the near future. Panthers are currently in division one, with Pumas in division two.

The club is not just about competitive netball. It is our goal to ensure that everyone who wants to play netball is able to do so, whatever your age and whatever your ability. Netball is fun and a great way of meeting new friends and we try to hold team and club socials throughout the year.
